It is amazing that the summer has flown by as fast as it has. Our sincere apologies for not sharing some snapshots of our lovely summer. We have had big packs and great energy all summer. So forgive us for not blogging as often as we should! Here are some pics for you to enjoy!!
It is only 8:30am and we have already had a busy morning! The sun was shining in the “back 40″ so we took the opportunity to frolic in the rays. Shasta was new to our pack this morning and all the dogs wanted a piece of the play. And after all that action, the dogs are taking a little morning snooze after breakfast. We still hope to have Canyon and Zipper to join the group this morning. Now we are off for walks! Tracy

We had an awesome time with a really great pack the last two days. It has been so warm and we were all excited to get good days filled with running and playing. We have a few dogs that are here for a few weeks and luckily they are the best of friends; we have Ali, Lucy, Poncho and Olive. We welcomed a few others into the pack for some good times: Bhula, Bula, Snow Bear, Tundra, Ralph and Abby, and Buster. They all played so well together it was a blast!! Today was a beautiful day here at the Ranch. The temperature almost reached 50 degrees. We had so much fun with our pack of black labs. They are all different shapes and sizes, but they all have playtime in common! We had a few rounds of fetch, some great walks, and a good run around the back property. Here are some photos of the look-a-like pack.
I have to apologize that during the hustle and bustle of the holidays our postings have been very infrequent. We had a great pack of dogs over the holidays and into the New Year. Even though the large pack has shrunk, I still have some snapshots to share. There were a lot of cold nights during the end of December so we had a lot of time to get cozy and have some photo opportunities. So enjoy!
Just kidding, I’m pretty sure it’s below freezing with the wind chill and the snow flurries blowing in sideways don’t do much to boost morale. We have been having some trouble with the digital camera, so I wasn’t able to take any pictures of the pack today, but I did manage to upload a couple of photos from the last week or so that you may not have seen. This is a very common look on the faces of Huskies and Samoyeds when the temperature begins to drop, and we’re starting to see it more and more at the Ranch. The trees are mostly bare here in Rollinsville, and even though it’s only mid-October, I think it’s safe to say that Old Man Winter is well on his way. Abby, Ralph, Brandy, Max, Jessie, Noelle, Ranger, Kia, Sushi, Cowboy, Nugget, Griffey, and Mr. Riley make up a very energetic pack this afternoon, and between breaks inside and vigorous play sessions outside, everyone is staying warm and toasty! - Patrick
